I had never heard of del.icio.us or any similar bookmarking site before this assignment. This is a very cool tool that could be extremely beneficial to those that know about it.
I can imagine this being helpful during research. There is no longer an issue of trying to remember where it was you saw that fantastic resource. With the aid of a bookmarking site, you can save and recall your information from any computer. How cool is that!! The aspect of the easy access from any computer with an Internet connection is amazing.
I believe this idea of tagging could be very useful for both classroom teachers and school librarians. This is a great system to foster collaboration between school colleagues.

Social bookmarking has so many uses. Our school uses one for a links page to connect the students to available on-line resources. We use one in second grade to share interactive links for whatever skills we are currently working on.
